Where was mountview before Peckham?
Before that the site had housed Whitten’s timber yard and, originally, a canal-side warehouse. It was built by the award-winning contractor Gilbert-Ash who recently completed the Stirling Prize winning Liverpool Everyman Theatre.
How many students go to Mountview?
Almost 1,000 young people are enrolled in our young people’s programme Generation N*xt with 300 young people taking part each week, the majority from within Southwark.

It is paid directly to Mountview. All full-time students can also apply for a maintenance loan to help with their living costs. The exact amount you can borrow will depend on: your household income.
How do you get into Rada?
13 Admission to RADA is by audition (for acting programmes) or interview for technical theatre arts programmes. For our BA (Hons) in Acting, FdA/BA (Hons) Technical Theatre and Stage Management and PgD Theatre Costume, and Foundation Course in Acting all prospective students will be auditioned or interviewed.
Can you defer a place at drama school?
Can I defer my offer? An offer is valid for 1 year. If you would like to defer your place you will be fast-tracked through the following year’s audition process, without having to pay the application fee, but will still need to attend a recall audition before the place is re-offered.
